1 Welcome Chairman of International Committee (IC) welcomes leaders, observers to General Assembly  
Hands meeting over to Executive Director (ED) to Chair on behalf of IOI  
2 Apologies Chairman of GA notes apologies from those who cannot attend. GA members can submit names.  
3 Confirmation of Minutes of GA held at the  Minutes of the meetings of GA have been distributed to Leaders etc. They need to be confirmed   
  University of Wisconsin Parkside, Wisconsin,USA  as true and correct.Once confirmed they are legally binding.It is important that any errors in the  
minutes are corrected.  
4 Appointment of Election Scrutineers Elections of new members for IC and ISC will take place during the week and it is important that  
independent people monitor the process. GA has the right to appoint the people who will administer  
the process. In previous years this function has always been handled by all Past IC Chairmen present  
5 Nominations for IC and ISC GA are asked to approve when nominations for vacancies on these bodies close. Nominations were   
called for before IOI. The final time for candidates to be nominated can be at any time before the final  
session of GA. Usually the closing date is fixed earlier than that. This is a GA decision.  
6 Approval of Contest Rules and Regulations The Chairman of the Host Scientific Committee will require approval from GA for the Contest Rules and  
Adjudication procedures as published on the Website (IOI2004.org) and tabled at this meeting. Once  
accepted by GA they become the basis on which the Competition is run.  
7 First round - Presentation of Tasks The Chairman of the Host Scientific Committee will require approval from GA of the Tasks selected by   
them. GA members have the right to amend, reject or approve some or all of the tasks. Once accepted  
Team Leaders and Deputy Leaders proceed with Translations.  
8 Report back - Competition Day 1 Host Scientific Committee report back to GA on the outcomes of Competition on Day 1. All objections,  
disputes and queries by Team Leaders are responded to.  
9 Second Round - Presentation of Tasks The Chairman of the Host Scientific Committee will require approval from GA of the Tasks selected by   
them. GA members have the right to amend, reject or approve some or all of the tasks. Once accepted  
Team Leaders and Deputy Leaders proceed with Translations.  
10 Report back - Competition Day 2 Host Scientific Committee report back to GA on the outcomes of Competition on Day 2. All objections,  
disputes and queries by Team Leaders are responded to.  
11 Report back by ISC The International Scientific Committee provides and advisory service to the Scientific Committee of the  
Host country. They work closely with the Host SC and will have met with them prior to IOI. They report  
to General Assembly with any recommendations.  
12 Amendments to Statutes, Explications and  This is the legal basis which controls the operations of IOI and from time to time changes and   
  Appendices amendments are made. Any changes are scrutinised by IC before they are submitted to GA. Notice   
of such changes are made known to GA before the meetings and are tabled at IOI. Only GA can  
approve changes to the Statutes, Explications and Appendices  
13 Executive Director's Report The ED circulates his Annual Report and Financial Statements to members of GA before IOI. These   
documents are made available at IOI and members of Ga have the opportunity to ask questions and  
obtain explanations to any issues contained in the Report. GA has to approve the Report and the  
Financial Statements  
14 Announcement of Future Host The IC receives requests from potential host countries for IOI and after discussion select a site. The   
Chairman of International Committee (IC) will announce the decision to GA  
15 Election of member of IC for 2005-2007 GA has the responsibility to elect one new member of IC to serve a 3 year term. Candidates who have been  
nominated will address for 3 minutes. If there is more than one candidate, ballot papers are distributed to   
GA members (one per country). After voting, ballot papers are collected by the scrutineers and counted.  
They hand the results to the GA Chairman to announce.  
16 Election of member of ISC for 2005-2007 GA has the responsibility to elect new member/s of ISC to serve a 3 year term. Candidates who have been  
nominated will address GA for 3 minutes. If there is more than one candidate, ballot papers are distributed to

17 Results and Confirmation of medals The Chairman of the Host SC tables the final statistical results of the competition.In line with the Statutes,   
GA decides on the cut off points for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals  
18 Voting on proposals carried forward from GA mtgs Members of GA will be assked to vote on issues raised during the week. No discussion will be allowed  
19 New Business Members of GA can submit written items which they wish discud=ssed. This will be covered in this item  
20 General - Closing remarks The Chairman of IC and Chairman of the Organising Committee will address GA  
21 Date of next meetings Formal adsvice that next GA meetings will take place in Poland at IOI2005  
22 Closure Chairman of GA formally closes the meeting.
